Staying Connected Virtually
StudioLab is more than its tools and rapid prototyping technologies; we’re a community of supportive artists and engineers. When our space is closed, we use Slack to share neat things we’ve found and talk shop.
Use this link studiolab-princeton.slack.com and your @princeton.edu, @alumni.princeton.edu, or @pppl.gov email address.

Slack is an app for web, phone, and desktop that helps communities exchange messages and collaborate on projects. It's like a private chatroom where you can share ideas, ask questions, and host virtual events. To find out more you can visit their website at slack.com.
Tips and Conventions
Slack has been around long enough that their users have developed a few best practices for getting the most out of the platform. Here is a beginner's guide to Slack etiquette that you may find useful slackhq.com/etiquette-tips-in-slack.
Supporting Student Organizations
StudioLab supports a wide variety of student organizations and clubs through our workshop space and open hours. Our staff is always on hand to offer technical advice and guidance for helping club members achieve their goals. As part of the Council on Science and Technology, we grant annual financial awards through the university's student funding portal SAFE for ongoing club support and special projects.
