Course Information - VIS 209 / ANT 281 / ARC 215 / STC 207
Operating at the intersection of art, science and technology, this course investigates how scientific theories shape aspects of culture and society. We engage in the practice of "speculative design", creating sculptures, wearables, and artifacts that envision different futures, while reflecting on social, political, and ethical implications of various technologies. Students develop skills in industrial design, digital fabrication, and digital image making, while applying them to critical social discourse.
