Background, early life, and outside interests: 

Bhargava was born in Hamilton, Canada. He was surrounded by math his whole life, as his mom was a mathematician at Hofstra University. Bhargava completed all of his high school math and computer science courses by 14.  Bhargava is an accomplished musician and enjoys playing the tabla and studies Sanskrit. 

Notable Achievements:

He has won a field medal in 2014 which is the highest honor for a math professor for his work on number theory. Additionally, Bhargava is the 3rd youngest person to achieve full professor at Princeton.
