Bio/Description

What's your concentration?
Architecture

What other projects or groups are you part of at Princeton?
Princeton Conservation Society and Scully Cooperative

Where are you from?
Central New Jersey (it exists!)

Why did you want to work at StudioLab?
I had been visiting the StudioLab and using its resources for almost two years, and even took a course there. I knew that I would always find some project to work on down there, so why not make it official?

What’s the most incredible project you’ve ever seen?
The Crochet Coral Reef by Christine Wertheim and Margaret Wertheim (crochetcoralreef.org) is undoubtedly one of the most incredible projects I've ever seen, and a huge source of inspiration. It combines my love of sea life, the fiber arts, and climate activism into one expansive project.

Do you have any heroes or mentors?
My grandmother, who taught me how to crochet when I was 8 years old. Remembering her keeps my maker spirit alive, and gives me the motivation to keep trying new things and combining my passions!

Have you been working on any special projects lately?
I'm in the planning stages of what I want to work on this semester, which includes 3D animation, VR environment creation, finally learning how to properly sew, and endless sticker making!

Where should beginners start at StudioLab?
The true answer is anywhere, but I'm partial to the laser cutter. It teaches you how to use important software like Adobe Illustrator, and also allows you to understand its wide range of capabilities that you can adapt to many project needs.

What are your favorite music genres?
Indie folk rock and nu metal!
