Where are you from?
Des Moines, Iowa
Why did you want to work at StudioLab?
I've always been big into modifying and creating but have never had direct, explicit assistance outside of YouTube and subpar Reddit threads. StudioLab is the perfect opportunity for me to be that guidance for others. It's all about paying it forward and spreading the wealth.
What’s the most incredible project you’ve ever seen?
Any and every Rube Goldberg machine.
Do you have any heroes or mentors?
As far as eccentric creators go, Casey Neistat. In general, though, my parents have been a big inspiration for me.
What is your favorite piece of equipment to use at StudioLab?
So far, I've enjoyed the laser cutter the most because of how quickly it can bring designs to life. I'm also a huge fan of all the computers because of our massive game library.
What's your favorite part about working at StudioLab?
Easily the freedom given to its users - the encouragement to get weird and creative.
Where should beginners start at StudioLab?
On the computers! Many of our machines are only as effective as the software behind them; I think knowing how the machines communicate with computers is just as important (if not more) as knowing how the machines themselves work.
