Sharon De La Cruz hosted the rapid prototyping workshop entitled "How to Build a Universe" in the StudioLab for the Princeton Environmental Ideathon.
Princeton Environmental Ideathon (PEID) is an all-expenses paid, application-based interdisciplinary design competition for addressing our socio-environmental challenges. The goal of PEID is to bring students of interdisciplinary backgrounds together to begin to solve our most pressing environmental issues. PEID allows students to explore their creativity, learn more about environmental problems and solutions, and network with leaders in the field.
PEID offers an immersion in understanding-centered design thinking as the process by which individuals of vastly different backgrounds and disciplines can collaborate swiftly and efficiently. Ideathoners are pushed to understand “genuine needs” - the foundation of an effective solution. Mentors and speakers with deep knowledge on such needs are ready to assist during the whole process.
