Mike Galvin, StudioLab Technician & MAE Technical Support Staff, presented at the 8th annual PocketQube Conference at the University of Glasgow in March. PocketQubes are tiny (2”x2”x2”) but real satellites developed and launched by universities & industry. Mike presented “TigerCub”, Princeton’s award-winning first PocketQube concept (designed by Candace Do, MAE ’24), which next year he (along with the CST) will be helping Princeton’s Rocketry Club implement towards a real orbital mission launching in 2027!

Mike also attended IMAP at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab, which was the final chance for members (and family, Mike is pictured here with his Dad) of the Princeton-led NASA IMAP mission team to see the spacecraft before it was shipped for final launch integration in Alabama and Cape Canaveral, in prep for a September launch! Congratulations Mike!
