In STC/THR 299 - Making Art from Science, students have been working on various creative practices stemming from a combination of meditations, games, and focuses while also learning about macromolecules and the foundations of life. They have also been studying the beneficial roles of microbes, from driving our evolution to using them to make kombucha. Taught by Dr. Anthar Darwish (MOL) and Vivia Font (THR), the class is now exploring environmental effects on microbes and how they can be used as solutions to climate change challenges, and exploring creative mediums to instigate, probe, ponder, and share scientific information, potential solutions, and questions to a greater audience.
