Last semester, students in LAS 390/ANT 392/GHP 390 - Multispecies Worlding and Global Health Policies produced multispecies design projects examining the politics of health, environment, and multispecies relations in scientific and biomedical interventions. Students explored possible futures and practices of world-making that drive new imaginings of life and the life sciences. The course, taught by Dr. Alberto Morales, examines diseases, pandemics, and other global health concerns through the lens of multispecies entanglements to analyze scientific knowledge production, the cultural structures that make specific "ways of knowing" possible, and the ongoing effects of ecological and environmental changes connected to health in the Latin American region and beyond. The CST provided funding for this course as well as support from our StudioLab.
