This week in THR 210/STC 210 - Storytelling with Technology for Performance, taught by David Bengali and LaJuné McMillian, students responded to an assigned reading by using Isadora software to create an interactive piece that changed or affected at least four elements when triggered by movement. After discussing the relationship between their pieces and the elements of storytelling, students were introduced to Unreal Engine including how to put student-created animated avatars into a virtual environment. Next up: Students will examine how to affect or control an artwork / installation / performance by sensing the external world in other ways, including sound, touch, light, etc.!
