FRS 129 Visits the Lions and Tigers of Six Flags Wild Safari!

Students in FRS 129, Visualizing Nature: Techniques in Field Biology, recently visited Six Flags Wild Safari for an up-close and personal experience with lions and tigers. They had the opportunity to speak with the veterinarian, Dr. Ken Keiffer, and Curator of Education and Conservation, Staci Wheeler, to learn all about the efforts and resources that go into caring for these incredible animals. Through conversations with these experts, students also gained a better understanding and appreciation for the impact such facilities can have on increasing species numbers and informing conservation efforts at local and global scales.
