On Wednesday, September 21st, Dr. Steven Kelts, Lecturer, University Center for Human Values, kicked off a new event series that is co-sponsored by the CST. This role-play workshop introduced students to a variety of ethical pressures real engineers face in the workplace while considering threats to job security, promotions, funding, salary, and more. For this first event, we were joined by special guest, Chris McClean, Digital Ethics Lead at Avanade (a joint enterprise of Microsoft and Accenture), who participated in an ethical discussion centered around designing a campus mental health app. There are two more events scheduled for this fall, so be sure to follow our CST Events Page!
