Dr. Naomi Leonard, Director of the Council on Science and Technology, will be honored by the University of Maryland A. James Clark School of Engineering for her research in the field of cooperative control of autonomous vehicles.  She has developed methodologies for the systematic investigation and design of feedback mechanisms that enable individual agents - whether living organisms or robotic vehicles - to perform as a group by coordinating decision-making, sensing, and motion.

She will be inducted in the Clark School innovation Hall of Fame on November 9, 2015.
