The CST collaborates closely through a variety of activities with the Emma Bloomberg Center for Access and Opportunity to support students in the Freshman Scholars Institute (FSI) and the Scholars Institute Fellowship Program (SIFP) to improve access for students with diverse backgrounds. 

  • Actively engaging in the development of a curriculum for a quantitative / STEM course (APC 152 Mathematical Communication in the Quantitative Disciplines) featured in the summer FSI program
  • Leading FSI summer workshop on how to read STEM textbooks and primary literature: Trekking Through Technical Texts 
  • Hosting FSI-student lunch, Greet and Meet in our Studio Lab space
